Our tight relations with EAFIT University has allowed us to move on with new research projects that strength's the company's research culture and vision. Up to day, we have two on going projects:

MMEDUSA: Methodology framework to develop software applications using the "aspects" approach.

This research has being approved by Colciencias Colombia and it's funds come direct from this public organization. Avansoft S.A has permanent active participation with EAFIT University.

The project's main goal is to have unique methodology to apply the "aspects" approach through out the development of the software process. It is focus in studying new relevant applications involved in the software's life cycle.

The projects´ achievements, will be shared with the Colombia's academic community, looking forward to make a closer step in order to implement methods to adopt faster ways to employ new technologies.

COMPETISOFT: Improvement of processes to encourage competitivity for the small software developer companies in Latin America. .

This Project pretends to improve the competitive of the Latin America's small software development companies. Using a standard methodology, adjusted to specific needs, will be the starting point to establish an evaluation and certification method for this kind of industry.

The Project involves cooperation from universities, public centers, private companies and other institutions from 13 countries around the region. The idea came from CYTED, and Avansoft S.A has an active and constant participation in cooperation with EAFIT University.
